Sunday lunch at The Tailor’s House is the one people plan their week around. It’s made to order — not a carvery — cooked fresh for your table from 12 noon to 3pm, with our à la carte menu following from 4pm. It’s a genuine local favourite, so booking is essential.
Made to order, not a carvery
There’s no heat lamp and no queue with a tray here. Every plate is cooked when you order it and brought to your table, the way a proper Sunday lunch should be. It takes a little longer than a carvery counter — that’s rather the point.
What’s on the table
The centre of it is our roasts of the day — the selection changes with what’s good, so ask your server what’s on — served with creamed potato, roast potato, a Yorkshire pudding stuffed with beef ragù, seasonal veg and gravy.
And if you’ve come for a roast but find yourself wanting a steak, Quinn’s own dry-aged beef is on the Sunday menu too: the 10oz sirloin and the 8oz fillet, for a supplement. For younger guests, the Mini Roast runs every Sunday from 12 to 4pm. The full Sunday menu moves with the seasons, so that’s the one to trust.
A Sunday worth the drive
We’re in the heart of Ballygawley, about 8 miles from Dungannon — roughly 15 minutes off the A4 — and easy to reach from Omagh, Cookstown and across Mid Ulster, with free parking at the door. Make an afternoon of it in our restaurant and bar, browse the wine shop, or stay over in one of our boutique guest rooms upstairs.
Booking essential
Sunday lunch books up early every week. Book online or call us, and tell us if you’re bringing a group or celebrating something — for bigger parties, ask about our garden room and function rooms.
