If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Ballygawley — for work in Mid Ulster, a night away, or simply breaking a longer journey — there’s a warmer option than a roadside chain. The Tailor’s House isn’t a hotel on a bypass. It’s a characterful stay in the centre of Ballygawley, above a restaurant people travel to eat in. Each of our six en-suite rooms is designed to feel calm and comfortable — a proper bed, a good shower, free Wi-Fi — the sort of place you’re glad to come back to at the end of a day, rather than just somewhere to sleep.

Because we’re small, we can look after you properly. Six rooms, not sixty. If you’re arriving late or need an early start, tell us when you book and we’ll do our best to make it work.

Parking, Wi-Fi and weekend breakfast

Parking on site is free, and so is the Wi-Fi — no hunting for a space, no surprise charges at checkout. Breakfast isn’t included in the room rate, but a freshly cooked breakfast is served on Saturday and Sunday mornings for £10 per person. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am.

And of course, the restaurant is right downstairs. On any night we’re open, Thursday to Sunday, you can add dinner to your stay and eat Quinn’s own dry-aged steak without so much as reaching for your car keys — then head straight up to bed. It’s the part guests mention most.

Ideally placed off the A4, near Dungannon and Omagh

Ballygawley sits at a natural crossroads. We’re just off the A4, about 8 miles from Dungannon — roughly a 10 to 15 minute drive — and close to the M1 corridor, with Omagh an easy run the other way. We’re on the Belfast–Donegal route, which makes us a genuinely handy overnight whether you’re:

  • Working in Mid Ulster and want a comfortable base for a few nights.
  • Breaking a longer drive between Belfast and the north-west or Donegal.
  • Visiting family or an event in Tyrone and would rather not drive home late.
  • Making a weekend of it — dinner, a good night’s sleep, and breakfast before you go.
